Automatic control system of emergency protection is a distributed control system which detects emergency and pre-emergency situations at object under control automatically. These are the situations in which further operation of the process equipment is impossible or dangerous for human’s life or operating environment. Emergency protection systems ensure execution of production protection mechanisms and blocking according to set algorithms including stop of the corresponding object under control.

Besides, EPS provides immediate stop of the controlled object. This feature is realized by pressing emergency stop button by the personnel on duty.
